About the Kinematic Viscosity Converter
Kinematic viscosity is dynamic viscosity divided by fluid density (ν = μ/ρ). It describes how a fluid flows under gravity alone, without an external pressure gradient. The SI unit is m²/s, but the centistoke (cSt = mm²/s) is standard in lubrication engineering. Fuel injection systems and hydraulic circuits are designed around kinematic viscosity specifications.
